Our Services

Chiropractic
Chiropractic care is a primary health profession that assesses the health of the spine and the function of the nerve system.

Our nerve system is vitally important to every single bodily function. This includes (but not limited to) sleep, mood, energy, digestions, breathing, laughing, walking, moving our limbs and so on. The list is almost endless.

Our highly trained chiropractor will do an assessment to determine the health of your spine and nerves and give you a personalised approach to get you back to your best as soon as possible and work on keeping you there.
Chiropractic
Massage
Massage therapy is a hands on manual therapy to help soften, release, and treat injured, tight and tired soft tissues of the body.
These include muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin. With the use of scientific techniques the encompass combinations of kneading, compressions, frictions, strokes and targeted stretching with varying degrees of pressure and movement to achieve optimal results.

Psychology
Uncomfortable emotions are an experience of life, however at times these emotions can begin to impact our daily functioning. Even though these emotions can feel overwhelming and hopeless, there is support available to get through these times.

At Jewell’s Family Wellness Centre, we see psychological support as two human beings sharing difficult, deep, and at times, overwhelming emotions. When you share this load, you can begin to understand, process and move beyond your struggles.

This support can take many different shapes, from providing education about mental health to hearing and feeling the emotions of the client. At our centre we utilises evidence-based treatment with the aim of understanding, preventing, and relieving psychological distress.

Our Team

Dr Jimmy Fay - Chiropractor

Dr Jimmy Fay is a chiropractor who is passionate about the health and well being of everyone.

Growing up, Dr Jimmy was surround by a family afflicted with chronic spinal issues. He wanted to find a treatment that would address the underlying cause of the problem, as opposed to simply masking the symptoms with a pill or ointment.

In doing this he found the amazing world of chiropractic care.

“The most amazing thing about being a chiropractor, is being able to help guide people from a very tough point in their lives, to a life that is filled with happiness and excitement. Being part of this is a very special thing”

Dr Jimmy is passionate about helping people of all ages to fulfil their greatest potential and to get them back doing the things that mean the most to them, with the people they love.

Sal – Remedial Massage Therapist

Fitness & Health has been a large part of Sal’s life from day dot. First, as a young and keen sports gal, to an Australian Representative in Taekwondo at the age of 25 to 35 years.

Sal’s undying passion (after competition) lead her to being a fitness professional, running Personal Training sessions and small group strength & fitness classes, followed shortly after with an Advanced Certificate in Nutrition & Health to help provide the best possible experience for her fitness clients, to now becoming the amazing and knowledgeable Remedial Massage Therapist she is today.

Outside of the Jewells Family Wellness Centre, Sal continues to instruct Aqua Strength & Fitness classes, through sheer passion and care for the ladies and gents that have followed her there over the years.

On top of enjoying her own exercise training as well, when she can find the time (as a mother of 3), Sal enjoys quality time with her family.

Sal loves helping all walks of life. To her, there is no greater reward than seeing the difference a massage or stretch care plan can make to her client’s quality of life.

She loves coming to work in such a welcoming and enthusiastic environment. She is incredibly thankful that she gets to be a part of the healing process of the clients.

These include an improvement in her gym workouts, in gut health, no headaches and a reduction in sinus issues. Laura knew how beneficial chiropractic care was to her health and she wanted to be part of the team that offered this amazing service to the public.

FAQ's

Be assured that most people find the adjustment completely painless, in fact a lot people find it to be relieving and enjoyable. In some instances you can be tender after your adjustments as we are creating necessary change, most people describe the tenderness as being similar to muscle soreness from a workout that often passes very quickly.

Most definately! Chiropractic is very safe and helpful for all ages. New born babies may have misalignment of their spine following a traumatic birth. If uncorrected this may cause problems further down the track. Having an aligned spine allows for full and correct development.

Not at all. Many people find that once they have had such amazing results they choose to continue treatment for preventative measures.

It depends on what you mean by “fix”. As a chiropractor, I look to not only remove your pain and discomfort, but also give you the tools to look after yourself and prevent you from getting sick or sore later down the track. Each person is different and will require a personalized treatment plan.

You wouldn’t want a builder to rebuild a house without blueprints would you? Without a proper set of X-rays, we are only working with part of the information and things may be inadvertently missed. Being thorough and safe is the most important objective.

When a joint in the spine is misaligned, it creates air bubbles within the fluid in the joint space. When the joint is moved into the correct position, the bubbles “pop” giving the cracking sound.

Our price per adjustment typically ranges from $45 to $65 depending on your severity, condition and what rehabilitation is required. We also accept all major Private Health Funds that cover Chiropractic.

Absolutely! Chiropractic care has been thoroughly investigated for years, even by an australian royal commision which found that chiropractic care is not only extremely safe, but very effective and extremely popular with people of all ages. Chiropractic in one of the safest health care approaches in the world.
